Whats better light makeup or dark makeup?

I usually wear dark makeup.Whats better light makeup or dark makeup?
I think it all depends on where you're going and what the occasion is. You know, like, a time and place type of situation? It also probably depends on what sort of look you're going for. If you're not trying to create a dramatic look, stick with light makeup. Personally, I like wearing dark makeup - like all the time, but that's just what I feel best in. Sometimes I lighten up the makeup, but I've found it doesn't have the same impact or allure, that darker makeup has for me.

Cheers.Whats better light makeup or dark makeup?
depends on your skin... tanned or western skin looks nice with light or dark make up.... asian skin looks best with light for the eyes and darker on the lips and cheeks...dark skin look really bad with light makeup...so it looks really good with dark or medium...and if you have very light(as in pasty white) skin wear only light make up...Light for the day....dark for the night...and for dates or parties dark...for work or with friends do a shade close to you r skin tone...

hope this helps
Natural beauty is best. Less-no makeup is better. You can still spot an ugly chick through makeup.
Light is more classic, and Dark can be a bit more edgy...so, what are you trying to attract if anything?
well it depends on the occasion. normally if you are out meeting friend do light makeup. dark make up may be better for parties. It also depends on ur skin
I like light make up.

it shows your real face better.

I think because you are a beautiful girl light make up it better for you.
try light.
are u an autumn its by skin tones try a demo at the dept stores and put the make up on in the type of light you will be in light for brite and so on more is less and you wont scare off the men or what-ever
Depends on your skin...
If you use makeup thats too light for your skin it will show lines more..and your head wont look like it belongs to your body.....if you use too dark you will get the ''line'' where it finishes and look wrong anyway....the best way to determine what shade to use is to test it along the edge of your chin..try and pick a shade as close to your own skin colour as you can,and you will get much better coverage, and it will be more flattering. If you have a reddish skin colour try and use the foundations with the green or yellow base,so as to help tone the red down a little.
its not about light makeup or dark makeup. it depends on whats time of day it is what is the occasion %26amp; the venue. during day time prefer doing light makeup. wear nude colours at beach.

the general rule is dark eyes %26amp; light lips %26amp; vice versa.
It depends on the tone of your skin and your complexion. Light make up could be in but I think we should try what looks best on us and not something just because everyone's wearing it.
Are you talking foundation or eyes, lips, and/or cheeks?

If you mean foundation please match it exactly to your skintone. Have a professional help.
Try ligher make-up for the day and darker for the night or going out. It's spring so lighter will brighten your face a little more anyway.
Most people prefer light makeup, but it depends on the occasion, and your own tastes. It seems most men like lighter makeup, but I think you'll have to ask some guys to get an actual opinion. With lighter makup, you can accentuate the eyes, or the hair, or fullness of the lips, and sometimes, if done well, you can't even tell you've got it on, it seems that you've just got a nature beauty and glow about you. But really, whatever you feel best in, give both a go for the day, and see which people comment on most.
it depends on your complexion

i'd say go for more neutral colors, if you you wear blatant dark or light only wear a little otherwise you look like a clown!
Light for the day....dark for the night life.
Light makeup is the way to go. You should use makeup to enhance your features not hide them. You want to look natural. Did you ever hear the saying, ';less is more';?
I think it depends on the complexion. If someone has a darker complexion, lighter make-up might look kind of cheesy. If someone has a lighter complexion, darker makeup could look cheesy. It all kind of depends how much and how heavy you make it look.
light make up because it takes out your inner beauty.
It depends on where you are going and the time of day. If you are going to work and you work in a ';business'; environment then dark makeup is not the appropriate makeup. I always carry a darker shade of the light makeup I normally wear just in case I end up going out after business hours. I just retouch in the darker shades and I'm good to go.
