Iam 16 and my friends say that i should start wearing light makeup when we go back to school?

do you think i should or just stay the way iam natrual and just hope i dont break out?

at my school if you start you cant stop cuse people well notice!Iam 16 and my friends say that i should start wearing light makeup when we go back to school?
i believe that people should only wear make-up too enhance their natrual beauty, not try to make themselfs something their not. if your not ready to wear make-up then don't, people want to see the real you ,not someone they used to know with caked-on makeup. make-up is fun and a way of creativity, but too much and you can break out more.Iam 16 and my friends say that i should start wearing light makeup when we go back to school?
I love my makeup, but if you want to start, then start gradually. I would suggest a beige/nude sparkly eyeshadow and some smashbox oglow on your cheeks. Then use a brown pencil (NOT BLACK!!!!!) and line your eyelids on the top only. Then a gray mascara does the trick! you will look fresh and pretty!
Sometimes the natural look is more pretty. It shows the real you. I don't use makeup all the time... rarely in fact.
I'm 16 too and in my opinion, go with what you feel you look more pretty or comfortable in. If you look prettier with make-up, why not use it?
i think you where ready to wear make up like 2 or 3 years ago. my friends that are 13, 14, 15 all wear make up and they all pretty much started in the 8th grade.
i say stay the way you are, if you feel comfortable without wearing make up then don't, its really up to you. don't do things just because your friends tell you to.
16 is definitely old enough to decide whether or not YOU want to wear makeup or not. and who gives a rats behind if you wear makeup one day and don't the next. and if they do care they mustn't have much of a life, because i certainly don't have time to worry about such things. its your choice. do what you feel comfortable doing. don't do something just because your friends think so. and by the way, make up can make you break out, so if you have nice skin don't wear foundation or anything like that =)
Well i guess if ur happy wiv how u r now, dont worry about it!

But if u do wanna try sum, just go for browns- i think its a colour that more or less suits anyone- just be careful of ur skin tone.

If its like ur first time really wearing make up, just go for a medium brown colour, just sweep it over ur eyelid. Dont go for anything mad! Add a lil bit of mascara (if u want). Your makeup will look nice %26amp; natural.
do u listen 2 ur mind or others' words???? stay natural u ll be seeking this later if u start creating artifficial beauty on urself
get some and wear it while your not at school, and if you like it start wearing it to school, but if you dont just forget about it.
No, you do not have to start wearing make up.

Natural beauty will always trump beauty that is painted on. If you feel that you don't need to wear makeup yet, then don't.
If you want to do makeup, have a perfesional do it, like at dillards where they do it for free
well,i refuse to go out in public with out my eyeliner :]
it's realy up to you what you think will make you happy a little light make up won't hurt try it and see what happings and if you don't like it you can stop.
I hardly ever wear make up because it gives me breakouts if I wear it too often.

If you do start, I would go with a hypoallergenic makeup just to be safe. You never know if you're allergic to something in the non-hypoallergenic ones.

Do't let your friends pressure you into wearing makeup though. If you don't wear it, or don't feel like you want to, then don't. It's your body, not theirs.
Listen to your friends on a trial run. Wear make up one day and see how others react to you. If they look like they want to laugh you know to stay natural. If they look like they are seeing you for the first time with a look of like in their eyes then stock up and make up .
If you've got a naturally good look, go without makeup until you break out, then use a light make up that wont clog your pores. Guys perfer natural skin!
personally, i think that if you want to try something, don't go for a full-coverage foundation.

if you break out frequently, invest in a spot treatment acne concealer (i love maybelline new york pure concealer stick, it's green i think...the tube not the stuff) it contains salicylic acid, so it fights blemishes while covering them too.

for your eyes, buy a trio of natural shades, i personally like rimmel eyeshadow trios because they have a little bit of shimmer, but not like hooker glitter. my personal choice? ';spices'; it contains soft golds, pinks, and a light color for the browbone. put the medium shade on the eyelid, the darkest shade in the crease, and the lightest from the crease to the brow bone.

as a rule of thumb: blue eyes = browns and golds, brown eyes = purples, green eyes = plum colors, and hazel eyes = soft pinks. however, all eyes look good in tones close to your skin color.

eyeliner = you can use a little bit of pencil eyeliner if you want to, soft brown looks natural, like a taupe sort of color. rimmel soft kohl kajal in sable brown is a good choice. tilt your head back so your eyelid is half closed, and apply the liner right along the edge of the lid, just above the lashes. don't apply any to the bottom lashes, because it can close in your eye.

mascara = the natural look is best suited for some clear or brown mascara. cover girl professional clear mascara is great. just curl your lashes with an eyelash curler for about 5-10 seconds, then apply one coat of mascara to the top, getting each lash. it sets the curl and defines your eye more. that's what i use. but i've heard good things about maybelline great lash in dark brown, or covergirl lash exact, also in dark brown.

finally, your lips. if you focus on your eyes, don't focus on the lips. a clear lip gloss, such as cover girl clear lipslicks, will give you a little shine but not make you look plastic. also, to take good care of your lips (because gloss looks way better on good lips) scrub them with your toothbrush before you get a shower. next, apply some lip medex from blistex, and get a hot shower. the heat will infuse the balm into your lips. apply a little more straight on before you go to bed, and your lips will be super soft and ready for gloss in the morning!!

but remember, use what you want to use. these are just my personal favorites. mix and match to find out what really works for you personally.

FOR EXAMPLE:

if you want to draw attention to your lips, leave off the eyeliner and put the shadow on lighter. then, use a tinted version of the lipslicks instead of the clear to make your lips show on your face (demure, princess, or flirtatious). but remember, don't ever try to emphasize more than one feature. lips or eyes, eyes or lips, but never two of them.

also, if you really love your cheeks, get a good cream or mousse blush, like maybelline mousse blusher or revlon cream blush(if your skin is dry) or a powder blush like covergirl cheekers (if it can be oily) in the color your cheeks turn when pinched. smile to find the roundest part of your cheek (the apple), apply blush here and blend toward the temples, making sure you don't leave any harsh lines. and with this look, clear gloss and no liner. understand? good.

also, try out this stuff on a weekend, or an afternoon when you're not busy and not seeing anybody, so you have some time to just practice with your look.

but just remember to have fun and keep it looking smooth. and blend everything!!! enjoy and good luck!

I think natural is better. I started wearing makeup at 13. Now I am 24 and can't go without it. If you are comfortable stay natural. If you do decide to wear makeup look your age, don't overdo it.
Go ahead ur probably in HS sice ur 16, go ahead if u want to wear makeup, u will probably have to do a little guess and check with brands and what happens to ur skin. start light, with different brands maybe on a weekend and check the foundations, blush etc. on ur wrist but remember, ur face has more oil than ur wrist.

good luck
Hun, look, I'm 13 and I've been wearing makeup for three years. There is nothing bad about makeup, all it does is enhance the natural beaty of a young woman's face. Start simple, and develop your own style, then begin to challenge yourself to new and more unique makeup styles. Trust me, if you follow my tips, you will only look prettier!
well you should post or direct us to a face picture if you really want to know but consider this, In my area (columbia, md the richest suburb and biggest planned community in the world) My friends in 6th grade started to wear makeup (some of them were no good) but really you won't break out as long as you cleanse and wash your face in the morning (before makeup) before and after gym, (wash off and reapply) and most importantly before bed. go for some light blush, some dark mascara (but not to much), and an eye shadow to match what your wearing or your eyecolor. and some light shiny lip gloss Really what you wear is up to you but you don't HAVE TO wear makeup. (have a friend help you the first time. My friends (13, 14 yrs old) (8th grade) wear makeup really its to embrace you though so its not like your wearing whiteface and enough mascara to have it fall when you blink.
i'm around your age, and i love make-up. 2 of my best friends are so pretty, but make-up really enhances their beauty. it frusterates me so much that the don't wear make-up, but i know that i probably hurt their feelings when i'm always pestering them about wearing it. i think you should wear make-up at age 16, but if you're not comfortable with going all out, take it in steps. start with mascara. i find that brown mascara has a much softer look to it, so you may want to try that. then maybe once you're used to that, try eyeliner. most people don't need blush, but maybe a little foundation to even out your skin tone would be good too. you should deffinately try the look, and then decide whether you like it or not. i bet you'll love it though.
You should definately wear makeup because you are hideous and you need it
